The Sun n’ Fun International Fly-In and Expo this week at Lakeland Linder Regional Airport in Florida kicks off our season of global air show appearances. The Hartzell booth at B-034/035 is just one highlight of the show, however.

Here are five more things you should check out this week at Sun n’ Fun:

1. Piper M600

Piper Aircraft is displaying their new flagship, the M600, in the manufacturer’s display area. This is the first time this aircraft will be on display. The Piper M600 has a new, clean sheet design wing and Hartzell 4-blade constant speed propeller. It also features the very latest in Garmin technology, the Garmin G3000, with touchscreen. You can find the M600 along the walkway to the announcer’s stand in the northernmost exhibit area just south of the runway.

2. Flight to the Future

This fundraising event on Thursday includes dinner, an open bar, and live and silent auctions for participants. Enjoy a meet-and-greet with the Breitling Jet Team, and entertainment provided by comedian Tim Wilkens. All proceeds benefit the Aerospace Center for Excellent STEM Education and Scholarship programs.

3. Sun n’ Fun Museum

The Sun n’ Fun Museum is running programming throughout the event. Enjoy lectures from pilots and crews, educators, historians, and aviation engineers. Be sure to explore the museum’s incredible collection of aviation history and memorabilia. You can even see a Hartzell composite prop we donated to their collection a few years ago.

4. Hands-on Workshops

Sun n’ Fun has a variety of workshops for builders that are popular with amateurs and professionals alike. All workshop instructors are experts in their respective fields, and many hold FAA Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic ratings.  If you’re curious about homebuilt or experimental aircraft, or looking for tips to take your own aircraft to the next level, check out these workshops throughout the week.

5. Aerobatics

All week, pro pilots take to the skies – many of them flying Hartzell props – to demonstrate the power of precision aviation technology paired with incredible human skill and ingenuity. Air show performers this year include Michael Goulian, Larry King, Melissa Pemberton, Matt Chapman, and Redline Airshows.
