12248051_10209194129268342_4464917317712509696_oPiqua, Ohio, March 21, 2016 – Hartzell Propeller will commence an extensive 2016 airshow schedule with an appearance at the SUN ‘n FUN International Fly-In and Expo April 5-10 at Lakeland Linder Regional Airport in Florida.

Hartzell’s 2016 exhibitions season will cover the world, including North America, South America, Europe and China, reflecting the propeller company’s global presence and leadership in propeller design, manufacturing and support.

Highlighting Hartzell Propeller’s exhibition at SUN ‘n FUN will be the company’s recently certificated carbon fiber Trailblazer constant speed propeller for the American Champion Scout.

The Hartzell 80-inch, swept two-blade, advanced structural composite Trailblazer prop replaces either the two-blade aluminum Hartzell, or the two-blade wood core propeller, available on Scouts from the factory. The new unlimited life Trailblazer provides an increase in climb performance compared to factory-installed propellers.

Airshow Performances Sponsored by Hartzell Propeller

At SUN ‘n FUN, Hartzell is also sponsoring several aerial performers. Michael Goulian, an American aerobatic national champion aviator, will perform air shows in his aerobatic Extra 330SC and sign autographs during the show.

To harness the almost 400 horsepower of the Thunderbolt Lycoming IO-580, Goulian chooses the all-composite Hartzell propeller, nicknamed the “Claw,” due to its superior pulling power. The Claw is the prop of choice for many of the world’s best aerobatic pilots and it is the official prop of the Red Bull Air Races. Hartzell co-sponsors Goulian’s participation in the air race series.

At SUN ‘n FUN, Hartzell is also co-sponsoring Matt Chapman Airshows. Chapman is recognized as an extraordinary aerobatic pilot who thrills millions of airshow fans each summer. He began flying aerobatics in 1984 and quickly worked his way up to the highest level of competition aerobatics. He will fly the Extra 330LX.

Also performing under Hartzell sponsorship at SUN ‘n FUN will be Redline Airshows, a dynamic two-ship formation aerobatic performance team. The opposing, inverted and formation maneuvers are a crowd pleaser. Redline’s performance aircraft are Van’s RV-8s, an extremely versatile aircraft capable of speeds up to 230 miles per hour with a 200 hp engine, equipped with Hartzell advanced structural composite propellers.

After SUN ‘n FUN, Hartzell’s executives and representatives will immediately head to Aero Friedrichshafen, the global show for General Aviation, and to Anchorage for the Great Alaska Aviation Gathering. The complete schedule of Hartzell appearances is below.
