After a one-year hiatus due to COVID-19, the NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) is back and better than ever! This year’s event takes place October 12-14 in Las Vegas, bringing together thousands of people for three days of connection, education, and innovation in business aviation.
As we gear up for a great NBAA-BACE 2021, here’s a look at five fun things to see and do at the convention:
It’s no surprise that one of the biggest draws of NBAA-BACE is its wide array of business aircraft. There are two static aircraft displays at the event: one inside the Las Vegas Convention Center and another outside at the nearby Henderson Executive Airport. Now’s your chance to climb aboard and get up close and personal with nearly 100 different business aircraft of all types and sizes, from the latest turboprops and pistons to cutting-edge light jets and helicopters designed for luxury business flying. Keep your eyes peeled for Hartzell props on a number of new aircraft on static display at the airport, including Pilatus Business Aircraft at A401, Daher at A404, and Textron Aviation Beechcraft King Air at A305.
The opportunity to learn about emerging industry trends is another great reason to look forward to NBAA-BACE 2021. More than 50 educational sessions, panels, and special events are planned for this year’s conference, providing expert insight into the hottest topics in the industry, including advanced air mobility, sustainable air travel, and electric aviation.
This year’s keynote speakers will represent all segments of aviation, with motivating presentations from notable names such as Martine Rothblatt, chair and CEO of United Therapeutics and winner of NBAA’s Meritorious Service Award; FAA administrator Steve Dickson; Dr. Sian Proctor, an astronaut, geoscientist, and space artist; and pilot, comedian, and Emmy-nominated actor Rob Riggle. Olympian Lindsey Vonn will also be a special guest, participating in a Q&A session on day two of the conference.
New to NBAA-BACE 2021 is the Owner/Single-Pilot Pavilion, a dedicated area for single-pilot operators to network with peers and engage in useful, relevant sessions tailored to this key part of the industry. The air-conditioned pavilion is located outdoors, on the aircraft display at the airport.
Also new this year is a Maintenance Pavilion, centrally located in the main convention hall. In addition to maintenance service providers and products, the Maintenance Pavilion will host a silent auction to provide travel funds for recipients of maintenance scholarships.
NBAA-BACE 2021 will showcase innovative products and services from over 700 exhibitors, including Hartzell Propeller. We’re thrilled to debut our newly-designed customer exhibit booth (#3337), featuring a number of our signature high-performance propellers.
On display will be our advanced swept airfoil five-blade structural composite prop for Daher TBM 700/800 and 900 series aircraft, as well as a specially-designed five-blade carbon fiber Hartzell prop for Pilatus PC-12 turboprops. In addition, Raisbeck Engineering (Booth #1401) will be displaying a specially-designed five-blade Hartzell propeller for Textron’s Beechcraft King Air series aircraft.

Even if you can’t make it to Vegas to attend NBAA-BACE 2021 in-person, you can still view 14 of the educational sessions online for a lowered price. Video recordings will be available to watch within 24 hours following the live presentations, and the association is also planning some exclusive, online-only content. All recorded education sessions can be used for Certified Aviation Manager credit.
