While Hartzell propellers are engineered to provide a long service life, we encourage customers to be vigilant about preventative maintenance and follow a regular propeller overhaul schedule to protect the safety and performance of their propeller. Even propellers with low operating hours or those stored in a heated hangar are subject to damage over time such as corrosion and seal aging. In most cases, this internal damage can only be detected during a complete propeller disassembly and inspection during an overhaul.

To provide the highest quality service to our customers around the world, Hartzell has assembled a global network of Recommended Service Facilities (RSF) that meet our qualifications to properly service and maintain Hartzell products. All selected RSFs are verified to meet our rigorous standards, which include:

• Passing Hartzell’s regular on-site quality systems and process audits
• Having trained and qualified technicians who attend required training updates at Hartzell
• Maintaining necessary approved tools and equipment
• Maintaining Hartzell special process approvals

Technicians at the company regularly attend Hartzell training to ensure that they are up to date with all product and technical improvements.
