Show season is officially underway, and if SUN ‘n FUN and AERO Friedrichshafen are any indication, 2026 is off to an incredible start.

From Lakeland, Florida to Friedrichshafen, Germany, the Hartzell team had the opportunity to connect with pilots, owners, operators, and industry friends from around the world.

SUN ‘n FUN 2026: Spring Break for Pilots with a Tattoo Twist

SUN ‘n FUN kicks off the spring and summer fly-in season with energy and enthusiasm. Our booth was buzzing all week with pilots and aircraft owners stopping by to talk propeller upgrades, ask technical questions, and discover the latest from Hartzell.

This year, we were proud to host the first-ever pop-up tattoo experience at SUN ‘n FUN. Over 40 attendees received a free aviation-themed tattoo by local artists from Atomic Tattoos, and many more joined us to enjoy temporary tattoos, beer and taco flights, and good company. One fan even chose to have the retro Hartzell logo tattooed on his arm — now that’s dedication!

We also had the pleasure of sponsoring top airshow performers and hosting Meet & Greet autograph sessions at our booth throughout the week. It was a week filled with connections, community, and celebration for all things general aviation.

AERO Friedrichshafen: Connecting on the Global Stage

From Florida, we headed to Germany for AERO Friedrichshafen, where we engaged directly with international customers, OEMs, and key industry partners.

Members of the Hartzell team also had the opportunity to share their expertise on stage, from carbon fiber propeller education to shaping the future of aviation.

Trevor Parker, Senior Propeller Integration Engineer, led an educational seminar on Carbon Fiber Propeller Engineering. His presentation detailed the structural and performance advantages of Hartzell’s carbon fiber propeller blades, including an overview of the new carbon fiber Falcon series propellers for Rotax-powered aircraft.

Lauren Denison, OEM Account Manager, was featured in a panel discussion with Elevate(HER) Aviation, an organization dedicated to raising the percentage of women in all aviation careers globally. The panel, titled “Visibility and Voice: Women in Aviation Today,” brought together international perspectives to reflect on the current landscape for women in aviation and the changes shaping its future.

Next Stop: Great Alaska Aviation Gathering

We’re not slowing down anytime soon. Next up, the Hartzell team is heading to the Great Alaska Aviation Gathering, which brings together aviation enthusiasts, industry leaders, and pilots from across the country. Be sure to visit us at booth #503 — we’d love to connect with you and share propeller options for your aircraft, including our backcountry-ready carbon fiber propeller upgrades.
