Piqua, Ohio, March 27, 2019 – Hartzell Propeller will participate in a number of aviation events during 2019 in the United States and Europe and supply technical propeller support for the Red Bull Air Race World Championship series.

Next appearance for Hartzell technical and sales teams will be at the SUN ‘n FUN International Fly-In and Expo, April 2-7 at Lakeland Linder Regional Airport in Florida. Hartzell’s exhibit will be at B-034/035. Hartzell will display a carbon fiber Trailblazer propeller and have experts on hand to answer questions about any Hartzell prop.

“The Trailblazer, introduced at SUN ‘n FUN in 2014, in five short years has become one of the most popular two- and three-blade propellers in General Aviation.  It is favored by OEMs, modifiers, and private pilots for back country and bush flying,” said Hartzell Propeller EVP & GM JJ Frigge. “Several of our customers will be at the show displaying their aircraft with Trailblazer props, including, American Champion, Aviat, Cubcrafters and Wipaire.  In all, the Trailblazer is now approved on nearly 20 aircraft applications and counting.”

Airshow Performances Sponsored by Hartzell Propeller

At SUN ‘n FUN, Hartzell is also sponsoring several aerial performers. Michael Goulian, an American aerobatic national champion aviator, will perform air shows in his aerobatic Extra 330SC.  Goulian will also be onsite at the Hartzell Propeller exhibit to sign autographs at 1:30 Thursday, April 4.

To harness the almost 400 horsepower of the Thunderbolt Lycoming IO-580, Goulian chooses the advanced Talon, an all-composite Hartzell propeller that is the next generation improvement from the Claw due to its superior pulling power and smooth control. The Claw continues to be the prop of choice for many of the world’s best aerobatic pilots and is the official prop of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship. Hartzell also co-sponsors Goulian’s participation in the air race series.

At SUN ‘n FUN, Hartzell is also co-sponsoring Matt Chapman Airshows. Chapman is recognized as an extraordinary aerobatic pilot who thrills millions of airshow fans each summer. He began flying aerobatics in 1984 and quickly worked his way up to the highest level of competition aerobatics. He will fly the Extra 330LX.

In addition, Hartzell is supporting Jim Peitz of Jim Peitz Aerosports, who will fly his aerobatic Bonanza. His show is a head-turner – loops, point rolls, barrel rolls, snap rolls, Cuban eights, hammerheads and this Bonanza even goes vertical. It is one of the few aerobatic Bonanzas ever built with a spectacular smoke system.
