If you’re like us, you’re eagerly counting down the days to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2021! Between the air shows, aircraft displays, exhibits, workshops, presentations, and events, there’s no shortage of amazing aviation attractions to keep you busy all week long. Whether you’re a seasoned pilot or just thinking about learning to fly, one destination you won’t want to miss is the EAA Pilot Proficiency Center (PPC).

The PPC is located at the Main Aircraft Display (Booth EAA 4) next to the Redbird Simulations tent. This innovative center is dedicated to giving pilots of all skill levels—including beginners—the chance to improve their flying and decision-making abilities with state-of-the-art Redbird flight simulators and informative Tech Talks.

Visit the PPC to take advantage of hands-on experience using Redbird’s Advanced Aviation Training Devices and crosswind trainers. Experienced, friendly flight instructors will be there to guide you through a variety of VFR and IFR flight scenarios and training exercises designed to help you advance your proficiency plan, build new skills, and stay safer in the skies.

The PPC also features a full schedule of educational Tech Talks on topics ranging from proper flight procedures to weather planning, use of charts, and other helpful aviation tips and tools.

Best of all, the Tech Talks and simulator time at the PPC will be eligible for FAA WINGS pilot proficiency program credit! You’re guaranteed to learn a lot and have some fun while you’re at it.

Participate in the PPC Remotely

Can’t make it to OSH ’21? One silver lining of the past year was innovative remote flight training solutions like Redbird Connect, which makes it possible to learn and train virtually with flight instructors around the country.

This means that if you have access to a Redbird Aviation Training Device at home or a local flight school, you can still participate in simulation training remotely! Using Redbird Connect and video conferencing, an expert flight instructor will guide you through the same quality simulation mission scenarios and exercises featured at Oshkosh, helping you improve your flying skills just as if you were at the PPC in person.
