Where do pilots go for spring break? The SUN ‘n FUN International Fly-In & Expo, of course!
Held March 28 – April 2, 2023, in Lakeland, Florida, SUN ‘n FUN is the second largest fly-in in the United States, bringing together thousands of pilots, aviation industry leaders, and air show enthusiasts for a week of air shows, exhibitor displays, hands-on workshops, educational forums, and family-friendly activities.
To gear up for “Aviation’s Season Opener,” we’re sharing three things to add to your SUN ‘n FUN itinerary for 2023:
Of course, one of the biggest draws to SUN ‘n FUN is the chance to get up close and personal with hundreds of aircraft of all shapes and sizes, representing all eras of aviation. It might take you all week to see everything there is to see, including rows and rows of classic warbirds and rare vintage aircraft, modern military aircraft, experimental homebuilts/kitplanes, ultralights, seaplanes, and the latest piston-engine, turboprops, and jets.
Whether you’re a history buff, a pilot looking for your next airplane, or simply a fan of all things aviation, you’ll definitely be impressed with the wide variety of aircraft at SUN ‘n FUN. Bring your sneakers and sunscreen, because you’ll be doing plenty of walking!
SUN ‘n FUN features world-renowned airshows both day and night, so there’s always something thrilling happening in the skies. Hartzell-sponsored aerial performers, all flying Hartzell prop-equipped aircraft, will include Kevin Coleman, Michael Goulian, Greg Koontz, Jim Peitz, Redline Airshows, and Bill Stein.
For a special meet & greet opportunity with aviation superstar Mike Goulian, be sure to stop by the Hartzell Propeller Booth (Hangar B, B-034) on Wednesday, March 29th at 11:30 AM. You’ll be able to grab a photo and/or autograph with Mike and see Hartzell’s latest propeller technology on display!
If you’re an #aviationgeek, you definitely don’t want to miss the SUN ‘n FUN Innovation Preview on Tuesday, March 28 at 10:30 AM in the ACE Pavilion.
The live presentation will feature products and developments from leading aviation companies, including Hartzell Propeller and Hartzell Engine Tech, Cub Crafters, Daher, Diamond Aircraft, Extra Aircraft, and many more. You’ll learn all about what’s exciting and new in the aviation industry for 2023.
